Sustainable use

  • Choose products that have the Charter for Sustainable Cleaning logo on their label, this indicates that you are choosing a product that meets strict sustainability criteria.

  • Sort your laundry according to colour. Keep dark colours from light colours and separate wool and silk as these fibres need a special detergent.

  • Some products are specifically designed for hand-washing delicate or lightly soiled items.  Do not use these products in your machine as you will get too much foam.

  • It is possible to use a machine-wash detergent for hand-washes if this is indicated on the pack. Follow dosing instructions carefully.

  • Wash coloured laundry inside out to minimise colour fading and wear-and-tear from the clothes rubbing against each other and the drum.

  • Read the instruction manual of your machine to see how many items can be washed in the delicates cycle. As a rule of thumb for special-care items, do not fill more than half and reduce the spin speed.
